Accompanist

Max is an accomplished keyboard player (organ, piano and harpsichord) and works regularly as an accompanist. As Organ Scholar of Trinity Laban he accompanies the weekly Monday choral evensongs with the Choir of the Old Royal Naval College Chapel, Greenwich, directed by Ralph Allwood and plays continuo for the choir’s performances of major baroque works such as Bach B Minor Mass, St John Passion and the Messiah, with members of OAE.

 

He is the accompanist of the Thames Philharmonic Choir, recently accompanying the choir in Haydn Nelson Mass, Chilcott On Christmas Night and Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle.

 

Max plays for Rodolfus Choir under Ralph Allwood, with whom he can be heard on their latest CD for Signum Classics, the Passing of the Year

 

Max has accompanied Tiffin Boys’ Choir in China, Germany and Czech Republic, and in such venues as the Barbican Centre, Royal Opera House and Beijing Concert Hall. Max enjoys accompanying annually on the Eton Choral Courses, and has done so for National Children’s Choir and National Youth Choir of Wales.
